This is definately not Journal Space

Have you noticed how few folks come by here? I don't see any of my JS friends. Most days I don't get a single comment. I read everyone who is posting here, but it seems like that is only a small subset of the folks I used to read.

What's going on? Is the JS community dead now?

  1. JS told you when people stopped by. On Blogger/Blogspot you have to take it on faith. :(

  2. I read your stuff. I sometimes comment...maybe not as much as I should. I'm here Scott.

  3. Yeah, unless you got get a ticker widget or a feedjit widget, you just don't know if you're getting visitors.. Some days are better than others around blogger. I do stop by but don't always comment with so many

  4. unless someone comments, you don't know if anyone reads. I read some journals and have no time to comment and I really feel bad about it. But then, it's the same with my own journal... no, this is NOT JS! *CRY*

  5. I noticed on Blogspot that there is a widget thing that you can put on your journal that shows up at the bottom of every post - it says reactions and gives a count of whichever reactions people have clicked on. I put that on mine just for the idea of people that come by and don't comment - they only have to click on one of them and that's it.
Unfortunately, that didn't catch on too well. I, too, go to plenty of journals but don't always comment.
That's one of the biggest things I miss about JS - and I have not found any other blog host that has the last 10 visitors at the bottom of the page like JS did.

  6. Ditto what the rest have said. I don't always comment on those that I visit, but on the old JS you could at least see that people stopped by. New JS doesn't have it either, so it's no better. It's discouraging to keep blogging and feel like nobody's reading, nobody cares... I'm about to that point actually, it's hard. Miss seeing the names... even if they don't comment, it's nice to know that someone at least dropped by.

  8. I comment more on journals that respond to my comment.
